"Road Trip" begins with the story of how a couple (who happen to be of different cultures) met and got married. It’s a warm beginning, but when the conversation turns to race it gets a little uncomfortable. This 15 minute DVD spotlights conversations about race and culture from an 8 day, 3,659 mile road trip. We meet a Navajo man in New Mexico, an Asian man in Oakland, a Mexican woman in Juarez, a Hispanic man in Indio, and come back to the couple in L.A. By the end, we have a greater understanding of the complexity of race and culture – and an idea that the beauty of relationships comes through awkwardness and pain. The DVD includes extended interviews and other resources in over one hour of bonus materials. As with all Urban Entry DVDs, the packaging includes discussion questions and a Bible study.
