Chad Brennan’s Bio
Chad is the founder and director of ReNew Partnerships–a ministry which focuses on, “Helping Christians of different ethnicities to share life and ministry together.” After graduating from the Ohio State University in 1996 with a degree in Civil Engineering he felt called to build spiritual bridges instead of steel ones and went into full-time ministry. For nine years he and Laurie (his wife) worked with college students in Turkey (1996-1997), New York City (1998-2003), and Columbus (2003-2005) as staff members with Campus Crusade for Christ. As they worked and partnered with a wide variety of ethnic groups in these urban areas they learned firsthand about the joys and challenges of multi-ethnic ministry. They wrestled with how “to get it right” and observed many other Christians leaders doing the same. While in NYC in 2001 they began to work with leaders of other ethnicities to facilitate “ReNew activities” designed to bring Christians together of different ethnicities. In 2005 they felt led to leave staff with CCC and launch ReNew Partnerships as an independent Christian non-profit organization. Chad, Laurie, and the other ReNew staff which have since joined them are currently helping thousands of Christian leaders to build biblical, multi-ethnic community through innovative on-site training programs and resources like TheNewCulture.org which attracts several hundred visitors a day. Chad is also completing his work on a Master of Arts in Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Chad and Laurie’s most passionate (and enjoyable) ministry is with their two daughters, Aliya and Anya.

Please see our history page for more information about the history of ReNew Partnerships and how and why it was started.

Chad’s role with ReNew
Chad’s role as the director of ReNew requires him to a wear a wide variety of hats: leader, visionary, administrator, graphic/media/web designer, writer, speaker, and accountant.  He’s praying for more help! :)  He especially enjoys facilitating discussion-oriented workshops where leaders can be encouraged and equipped in their efforts to build multi-ethnic community.

Laurie’s role with ReNew
Laurie devotes the majority of her time and energy to being a full-time mom but she still enjoys helping with ReNew in a variety of ways including providing leadership and direction to our efforts, mentoring women, hosting events, and coordinating public relations.
