Michaela grew up in the inner city of Toledo, Ohio, where she learned first-hand about the needs in the urban communities in America. After committing her life to Christ as a teenager in the early 90’s, she began to serve as an evangelist and youth minister. Since that time she has never stopped pouring her love and her life into young and not-so-young women around her. The Lord used her passion for evangelism and discipleship as she played a central role in launching an African American college ministry at the Ohio State University and at Central State University. She has also helped to lead many urban ministry teams as a volunteer with Here’s Life Inner City. After years of working primarily in the African American community she felt called to begin to help build bonds between Christians of different ethnicities. In 2004 she began serving as a volunteer with ReNew Partnerships and then joined staff in 2006. Since that time she has helped to train hundreds of leaders around the country on topics related to building ethnic unity in the church. Her dynamic speaking style and passionate story telling have helped her to become a favorite speaker at churches and universities. Her many talents also include writing (she is working on a book), spoken word, singing, and poetry. She adds great wisdom, spiritual discernment, and passion to our efforts with ReNew Partnerships.
