Many people do not realize that Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. worked very hard to extend a hand and work with Christians of other ethnicities. This letter to white clergymen who condemned his civil rights efforts is a good example of how he tried to reach out with grace and humility. His challenges in the letter remain powerful and applicable even to today.
