What is the New Culture E-learning Program?
It is the joint effort of ReNew Partnerships and top multi-ethnic experts (pastors, ministry leaders, professors, authors, etc) around the country. We are creating high quality, affordable e-learning sessions to help Christians to build and sustain biblical, multi-ethnic community. To learn about the program please watch the video at the top of this screen.
Which multi-ethnic experts are involved?
Click here for the current list of experts who are involved or considering being involved with the program. As you can see, it contains many of the nation’s leading experts on building and sustaining biblical, multi-ethnic community. We are excited to have such gifted, mature, and experienced individuals working with us on this program. We will be adding to this list as we hear back from other experts we have invited from around the country. For one thing, we hope to add additional female content contributors to the list soon--its pretty “male heavy” at this point. If you know of an expert with extensive multi-ethnic experience that you think would be a good fit for the program please contact us. Or, if you are an expert that would like to be considered for the program please fill out our volunteer form and enter “NCEP EXPERT CONTRIBUTOR” for the position.
When will you launch the program? When will the first sessions be available?
We are currently working on designing our first sessions. We hope to have them completed and the program launched by Spring of 2010 (possibly earlier). If you want to be notified when the sessions are available please subscribe to our New Culture Monthly Newsletter.
What kinds of topics will the sessions be covering?
Every person’s situation is unique. But, we have found that there are questions and issues that often come up when a person starts to pursue life and ministry in multi-ethnic community--these are the topics we plan to focus on. Click here for a list of examples . If there is something you would like for us to cover that is not on that list please contact us and let us know--we’re very open to suggestions. In the years to come, we plan to be constantly adding sessions that cover the most current issues that Christians are facing. In that way, the e-learning program will be changing and evolving in an on-going way to meet the needs of Christians around the country.
How much will the sessions cost?
We plan to sell them for only about $20 each. This is obviously less expensive than attending a conference and far less expensive than taking a college course. We are selling the sessions at a low cost so that all Christians who want to can take advantage of them.
How can you afford to sell the sessions at such a low cost?
If you are familiar with e-learning you probably recognize that it would take a very long time for us to cover our design costs by selling the sessions for only $20 each. It would not be unusual for an e-learning design company to charge $50,000 to design a course similar to just one of our e-learning sessions. No, we haven’t found out how to plant money trees (unfortunately). Here’s how we’re doing it… For starters, we are doing everything we can to keep our design costs as low as possible (utilizing new technologies, volunteers, etc.). We are also relying on the contributions of individuals, families, and ministries to cover a large portion of our design expenses. And, we are seeking sponsors for each session to help cover some of the initial costs.
How much content is in each session? How long does it take to go through?
There is no “exact amount” of content in each session because each topic requires a different treatment. Most sessions contain materials (videos, interviews, learning exercises, coaching videos, etc) that will take a typical person about an hour and a half to go through. A trainee can breeze through the session in an about an hour or they can take their time and spend 3 hours on it--that is up to them. One of the strengths of e-learning is that you can go through it at your own pace. Sessions will also contain recommended resources for further study and possibly “bonus materials” like an article or book chapter by the expert contributor.
This sounds like a great idea! Is there any way that I can help?
Glad you asked! Here are some things you could do that would be very helpful…

- Give -- A contribution of any size will help to make the program possible as well as speed up the process of designing and delivering the sessions.
- Sponsor a session -- By sponsoring a session you can both… 1. help Christians around the country and 2. get the word out about your company/organization or honor someone you love. Its a double win!
- Volunteer -- Click here for a list of volunteer opportunities or to fill out our brief volunteer application.
- Join our staff / internships -- Click here to learn about staff and internship possiblities.
- Tell a friend -- Would you take a minute to tell a friend about this new program?
- Buy an Entertainment Book -- Purchasing an Entertainment book through our website is a good way to save money and help our ministry at the same time (we receive about $5 for each book sold).
- Shop-N-Support -- When you shop online, please visit our Shop-N-Support section first. When you click through the links on our site we receive a small commission (usually about 3%).
