It is a girl! (or so they tell us)

We're happy to say that girl #3 is on the way! At least that was the verdict of the person who did our ultrasound a few weeks ago. We are all excited about having another girl in the house soon -- especially Aliya and Anya. (due date is August 26) Laurie and I are trying to get ready to "do the baby thing" once again -- its hard to believe that its been about four years since we've changed diapers around here. At least they start off small at the beginning...

New Culture E-learning Program update

The Lord has been opening some very exciting doors for the New Culture E-learning Program (NCEP) . Sixteen of the top experts in the country have expressed interest in being content contributors thus far.  A highly qualified group of experts has agreed to be on the board of advisors including one of the top e-learning experts in the country, Bob Mahaffey.  Bob is the founding president of Xcelerate Media -- a company which has produced e-learning for 20 of the 50 largest corporations in America and even the U.S. Senate.  Please pray for the Lord to provide the funding we need for the startup costs of the program as well as gifted people to add to our design team.

Helping leaders to build multi-ethnic community

Creating online training tools is great -- but, nothing can beat working with leaders face-to-face. We've had some great opportunities over the last few months to help leaders who are seeking to build multi-ethnic community. I've enjoyed many "coaching sessions" with young pastors and other leaders trying to build biblical, multi-ethnic community. Michaela and I also recently led training workshops at Cedarville University and with a multi-ethnic church plant team in Columbus.

We have a star in the house!

Laurie mentioned in our last newsletter that she had the opportunity to be in a SafeAuto commercial recently. It began to air last month. We've been hearing from friends around the country who were watching TV and thought, "Wait, I know that girl!" Laurie has enjoyed some modeling opportunities like that over the last few months. You may even see her in a mop infommercial sometime soon (if you watch that kind of thing).
