" "Road Trip" begins with the story of how a couple (who happen to be of different cultures) met and got married. It's a warm beginning, but when the conversation turns to race it gets a little uncomfortable. This 15 minute DVD spotlights conversations about race and culture from an 8 day, 3,659 mile road trip. We meet a Navajo man in New Mexico, an Asian man in Oakland, a Mexican woman in Juarez, a Hispanic man in Indio, and come back to the couple in L.A. By the end, we have a greater understanding of the complexity of race and culture - and an idea that the beauty of relationships comes through awkwardness and pain. The DVD includes extended interviews and other resources in over one hour of bonus materials. As with all Urban Entry DVDs, the packaging includes discussion questions and a Bible study."

" "New Neighbors" begins by with the story - and 1964 Impala - of a man describing the challenges in his neighborhood. The surprise is that he lives in a suburban neighborhood. This 15 minute DVD helps groups understand gentrification and the suburbanization of poverty - the demographic shifts that are happening in their city and community. Using the example of a suburban church and drawing on the experience of urban ministry veterans, "New Neighbors" is a great way to start conversation about how Christians and churches can reach out to their cross-cultural neighbors. Bonus materials include an invitation to start a suburban immersion experience and interviews and teaching to help groups think through gentrification."

"Over the last 20 years the topic of forgiveness has come into its own as an area of academic study. Researchers are now examining the psychological and physical effects of forgiveness on individuals and within relationships under an amazingly wide variety of conditions, ranging from petty insults to sexual assault. Clinicians have developed interventions that help guide people through a structured process that allows them to forgive transgressions and get on with their lives."
